What do DNS record types mean?
An A record points a domain to an IPv4 address and AAAA to IPv6. CNAME aliases one name to another, MX directs email, TXT holds verification strings such as SPF and DKIM, and NS names the authoritative servers. Changes propagate over the record's TTL.
