Why use Notes Organizer?

This notes organizer splits the screen into a sidebar and an editor: the sidebar lists every note you have created, each with its title and a short preview of its content, and clicking one opens it in the editor on the right. Creating a new note with the + button starts an untitled entry ready to type into immediately, and every keystroke in either the title or the body saves automatically to this browser's local storage, so switching between notes never risks losing unsaved work. The search box above the note list filters by both title and content as you type, which matters once you have more than a handful of notes and need to find one by a remembered word rather than scrolling. Notes are sorted with the most recently edited at the top, so whatever you were just working on stays easy to find. A trash icon deletes the currently open note, and because the whole tool runs as client-side JavaScript with no account or sync step, everything you write stays on this device and browser and is never transmitted anywhere.

There is no fixed limit built into the tool, though very large numbers of notes are bounded by your browser's local storage capacity.

Are my notes sorted in any particular order?

Yes, by most recently edited first, so the note you were just working on stays near the top of the list.

Will I lose my notes if I close the tab?

No. Local storage persists across tab closes and browser restarts on the same device and browser.
