Are the exchange rates live or fixed?

They are live. Each conversion fetches the latest published rate for your selected pair from the Frankfurter API, and the result panel shows the date that rate was last updated.

Why does the result show two decimal places?

The converted total is rounded to two decimals for readability. The line below it shows the exact 1-to-1 rate so you can see the full precision behind the number.

What happens if a rate cannot be loaded?

If the rate request fails, a notice appears saying live rates could not be fetched and no converted amount is shown. Use the Refresh Rate button to try again.

Do I need to sign up or pay?

No. The converter is free to use with no account and no sign-in. Just choose your currencies, enter an amount, and read the result.
