How do you convert currency at today's exchange rate?
To convert currency, enter an amount and choose the from and to currencies, such as USD to PKR. The result shows the converted total, the rate for one unit, and the date the rate applies to. Rates come from the Frankfurter API, which publishes European Central Bank reference rates, so they refresh on ECB business days rather than live.
Are the exchange rates live?
Not tick-by-tick. The rates are European Central Bank reference rates published once per working day, around 16:00 CET, and delivered through the Frankfurter API. They are accurate for planning and invoices, but a bank or card provider will apply its own rate plus a margin, so the amount you actually pay will differ slightly.
Sends data to a third party. The amount you enter and the two currencies are sent to the Frankfurter exchange-rate API to fetch a live rate. Nothing is sent to The Tools Kit.
