Compress to an exact file size
Upload portals and forms often cap the file size. These pages start the compressor at a set target so you can hit the limit in one step.
How do you compress an image?
To compress an image, upload the JPG, PNG, or WebP file, choose a quality level, and download the smaller version. Compression removes data the eye is least likely to notice, so a photo can often drop well over half its file size before any visible difference appears.
Can you compress a JPG without losing quality?
Not entirely - JPG uses lossy compression, so every re-save discards some data permanently. At high quality settings the loss is invisible at normal viewing size, which is why most photos compress substantially with no perceptible change. For genuinely lossless results, use PNG or WebP lossless instead.
