Frequently asked questions

What unit are the margins in?

Points (1/72 of an inch), the standard PDF unit — 72 points equals 1 inch.

Does cropping delete content, or just hide it?

Cropping adjusts the visible crop box; some PDF viewers and tools may still access the trimmed area, but it will not display or print by default.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Cropping happens entirely in your browser using pdf-lib.
